Fact Check: Does This Video Show Palestinians Taking Over An Israeli Company? Here’s The Truth

A post claiming the people of Palestine captured an Israeli company amidst the ongoing Israel-Hamas war is doing the rounds on social media. Many users have shared the post in support of the Palestinians.

A Facebook user posted the viral post, with a caption: 

माशाल्लाह क्या खूब मंजर है फिलिस्तीन भाइयों ने इजरायली कंपनी पर कब्जा कर लिया
(English: Mashallah, what a wonderful scene! Palestine brothers captured Israeli company.)

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be false.

Running a Reverse image search of the viral post, our team traced a BBC news report, dated October 30, 2023, and titled: Dagestan: Mob storms Russian airport in search of Jews. One of the video keyframes matches the viral post informing that an angry crowd running through the airport in Makhachkala, Russia, towards a flight from Tel Aviv.

Another YouTube video, titled: Anti Semitic mob storms airport in Russia’s Dagestan, dated  October 30, 2023, on the official handle of Channel 4, corroborates the claim made in the BBC article, confirming that the viral post has nothing to do with Palestinians overtaking any Israeli company.

News about the crowd at the Makhachkala airport incident was also covered in The Guardian and CNN as well. 

Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming Palestinians overtook an Israeli company in the ongoing war, is false.
