NM VERIFIED
NewsMobile verified the claim and found that it is misleading.
The NM team initiated its verification by running keyframes from the viral video through a reverse image search. The search led us to an Instagram video shared by ABP News in June 2026, featuring visuals identical to those seen in the viral clip.
According to ABP News, the video shows Kangana Ranaut visiting temples in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, in June 2026. The accompanying caption stated that she offered prayers for Prime Minister Narendra Modi after he completed 4,400 days in office. This establishes that the footage predates the Karwa Chauth-related claim. We also found a report by Times Now featuring similar visuals from Ranaut’s temple visit to Jodhpur’s Chamunda Mata Temple.
Furthermore, Ranaut shared a video of the visit on her Instagram account, wearing attire similar to that seen in the viral footage. In her post, she mentioned praying for the Prime Minister’s long life, good health and continued energy.

Hence, it is evident that the viral video is unrelated to Karwa Chauth and does not show Kangana Ranaut performing the ritual for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
