Modis seat is BJPs secret Yeddy gets Shimoga

Date:

New Delhi: Mysteriously, there was no word about its prime ministerial aspirant Narendra Modi’s constituency in the second list of BJP candidates announced on Saturday.

BJP’s Karnataka strong man B S Yeddyurappa is nominated from Shimoga. Ananth Kumar will contest against Nandan Nilekani from South Bangalore. The journalist-turned-spokesperson, Chandan Mitra, will contest from Hooghly and singer Babul Supriyo from Asansol, both in West Bengal.

The bulk of the 52 nominees announced come from Karnataka, where the party declared 20 out of the 28 seats it plans to contest. A total of nine seats from West Bengal, three from Kerala, five from Orissa and two from Tripura were declared. The remaining list will be released on March 13.
