Ahmedabad: The Gujarat government on Monday transferred 49 IPS officers of Inspector General of Police (IGP), Deputy IG (DIG), and Superintendent of Police(SP) ranks.
Kamal Kumar Ojha, the IGP-Armed Unit at Gandhinagar has been shifted as the principal of SRPF Training Center in Junagadh, stated a notification by Home Department.
Manoj Agarwal, currently serving as Joint Commissioner of Police(JCP), sector-1, in the city has been transferred as the IGP-Law and Order in Gandhinagar.
K L N Rao, serving as JCP, Admin and Traffic in Rajkot has been transferred as the new IGP of Ahmedabad Range, replacing R B Brahmbhatt, who is now given the posting as the IGP-Intelligence in Gandhinagar.
Hasmukh Patel, IGP of Surat range has been transferred as the IGP of Gandhinagar. Patel replaced Deputy Inspector General(DIG) Rajiv Ranjan Bhagat, who is now appointed as the Additional Commissioner of Police, Sector 1, Ahmedabad.
R V Jotangia, IGP in CID-Crime has been transferred as the new JCP, Admin and Traffic, Rajkot. M M Komar, IGP-Law and Order, is now transferred as the new IGP of Surat range.
SP of Banaskantha district D B Vaghela is now promoted as DIG and appointed as the joint director, Anti Corruption Bureau, Ahmedabad.
Shobha Bhutda, DCP, zone-4 in Surat has been transferred as the new SP of Bharuch, replacing Bipin Ahire, who is now shifted as the Deputy Commissioner of Police(DCP), zone 1, Ahmedabad city.
Himanshu Shukla, DCP in city Crime Branch has been shifted as the SP, Operations, Anti-Terrorist Squad(ATS), Ahmedabad. He is replaced by Porbandar SP Deepan Bhadran.
Gandhinagar SP Sharad Sinnghal has been shifted as the SP, Vadodara Rural. Singhal is replaced by Virendra Singh Yadav, currently serving as DCP, zone-1 of city, stated the notification.
Others who have been given transfer orders include other SPs in the state.
