Giving one more option to its user’s, Instagram has added a brand new layout option. The new layout system will allow the user’s to click their photographs in the landscape mode.
The move is the first major alteration to the photo-sharing, social media service since Facebook Inc bought it for $1 billion in 2012, and addresses the wishes of many of its 300 million users, who have been constrained by the square format.
Social media marketing and advertising analyst, Debra Aho Williamson said that he is really happy that now the advertisers and users will be getting more options. He added as an advertiser you always wish that you’re add should be seen more and more. So this landscape mode will certainly attract the attention of maximum advertiser.
Now, Instagram’s web-based service, as well as its mobile apps running on Google Inc’s Android system and Apple Inc’s iOS will allow portrait and landscape formats, giving both users and paying advertisers more options.
The change is also a way for Instagram to better capitalize on the growing rise of mobile video, especially as rival service Snapchat popularizes portrait-oriented smartphone videography.
