MS Dhoni Duped Of Over Rs 15 Crore; Files Case

New Delhi: Cricket legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni has taken legal action by filing a criminal case against Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Vishwash of Aarka Sports and Management Limited in a Ranchi court. Diwakar had allegedly entered into an agreement with MSD in 2017 to establish a global cricket academy. However, Diwakar’s failure to adhere to the agreed-upon conditions, including the payment of a franchise fee and profit-sharing, resulted in a breach of contract.

Despite numerous attempts to address the non-compliance with the agreement, the terms and conditions were consistently neglected. As a result, MSD revoked the authority letter granted to Aarka Sports on August 15th, 2021, and issued several legal notices, all of which went unanswered.

Dayanand Singh, representing MS Dhoni through Vidhi Associates, alleges that they were deceived and cheated by Aarka Sports, resulting in a financial loss exceeding Rs 15 crore.

Dhoni’s friend Simant Lohani, also known as Chittu, has lodged a complaint, alleging threats and abuse from Mihir Diwakar after taking legal action against Aarka Sports.

Recently, MS Dhoni returned home from celebrating New Year in Dubai, where he welcomed the year with family and friends. India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant was also part of the trip, and Dhoni celebrated Christmas with his loved ones in Dubai.

Rishabh Pant joined MS Dhoni in Dubai for the IPL 2024 mini-auction held on December 19. Recovering from injuries sustained in a car crash in December 2022, Pant sat with the Delhi Capitals team management during the auction.

Both MS Dhoni and Rishabh Pant are expected to make a competitive comeback during IPL 2024, potentially marking Dhoni’s farewell season in the lucrative league. Despite a challenging period and knee surgery in June 2023, the 41-year-old led Chennai Super Kings to their fifth title in 2023.

After successful knee surgery at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai, Dhoni’s recovery became a closely followed topic. During his time in Ranchi, he engaged with fans, exploring vintage cars. Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan provided a positive health update, confirming Dhoni’s steady recovery. Dhoni himself expressed optimism about rehabilitation, emphasizing the absence of issues in his day-to-day routine during the rehab phase.
