Reality television personalities Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple, who found love on ABC’s The Golden Bachelorette, have called off their engagement after two years together.
Vassos announced their separation through Instagram Stories on Friday, revealing that the couple had decided to part ways despite initially believing they had found a lifelong partner.
Reflecting on their relationship, she said, “Two years ago, Chock and I took a leap of faith and got engaged during our season of The Golden Bachelorette, hoping we had found our forever.”
She added that the pair had spent the past two years sharing family moments, travelling, making memories and supporting each other through difficult times. However, things did not turn out as they had expected.
Confirming their decision, Vassos stated, “We have decided to end our engagement.”
She also expressed that both of them wished happiness for each other, adding, “I’m grateful for the chapter we shared.”
The couple got engaged during the show’s season finale in November 2024, following Vassos’ season premiere in September that year. At the time, she had spoken confidently about their connection, saying she never expected to experience love like that again.
