A picture post is doing rounds on social media in which a quote is attributed to Google CEO, Sundar Pichai, has surfaced on the internet.

The text on the picture read: “I’m not interested in politics but I am worried about India’s unemployment, millions of youngsters losing the jobs. India must concentrate on people’s welfare not their food habits future of the country is in the hand of rational minds”

At the time time of filing this report, the above post was shared by over 1,000 Facebook users.

FACT CHECK

When NewsMobile fact-checked the above post, we found it to be false.

On putting the above text through a Google search, we didn’t find any report or blog quoting Pichai with the above statement.

We further scanned through Sundar Pichai’s verified social media handles, but he had not posted anything close to what has been claimed in the viral post.

Hence, the above information proves that the quote in the viral post is wrongly attributed to Google CEO.
