There is something special about this new toilet built in Mumbai

Date:

A new toilet has been built at the Marine Drive in Mumbai and the cost of building it is Rs. 90 lakh. It is a posh, eco-friendly toilet that comes equipped with a solar panel and vacuum technology to conserve water.

This toilet can be used by the general public, joggers and cyclists, and public figures and celebrities. The best part about the facility is that it is free of cost.

The six-block toilet in South Mumbai was inaugurated on Monday by Aditya Thackeray, Shiv Sena’s youth wing leader about which he also wrote on his Twitter handle.

The JSW Group, Samatech Foundation, and the Nariman Point Churchgate Citizens Association joined hands to build this project in the city.

In any other toilet, the water supply provided is eight litres for a single flush, however, for this toilet, 800 ml of water is being used.

Apart from playing a role in water conservation, the vacuum technology preserves a huge amount of raw sewage from being thrown into the Marine Drive bay.
