Srinagar: Former DSP of Jammu and Kashmir police Bashir Ahmed was shot dead by unidentified militants in Srinagar’s Kulgam district on Wednesday morning.
The retired officer was killed by the motorcycle-borne militants while he was coming out of a mosque after offering prayers .
The militants opened fire at Bashir, killing him on the spot.
As soon as the shots were heard, there was panic all around, which assisted the militants to flee.
The police is on the look out for the culprits.
