Domestic air traffic increased in July by 26 per cent

Domestic air travel has made a new mark as Domestic airlines recorded more than 26% growth in passengers carried in July.It carried 85.08 lakh passengers in July. This record growth is for the 24th consecutive month as most airlines lower their fares to attract passengers.

SpiceJet has been recording the highest passenger load factor (PLF) for 15 consecutive months and Go air recorded the second highest PLF.

“The passenger load factor in the month of July 2016 has almost remained constant compared to previous month primarily due to the end of tourist season,” DGCA said in report.
