Libyan Plane Hijack Updates: Hijackers surrenders, all passengers and crew released

Libyan airplane of Afriqiyah Airways with 118 passengers on board has been hijacked on Friday and diverted to Malta. According to reports, the hijackers have surrendered, Malta Prime Minister Joseph Muscat tweeted.

He tweeted:

Two passengers on the plane reportedly threatened to blow up the plane.

“2 people on board have been threatening to blow up the plane,” Magda Magri Naudi, Deputy Mayor for Lija, Malt.
