Women pay more for their products than men

Date:

London: A new survey has revealed that women pay more for their goods compared to men, despite being paid less.

The poll, which is commissioned by shopping website, found that women pay 14 per cent more for goods, despite earning 20 per cent less and men paid 3.44 pounds on deodorant, while women paid 4.62 pounds, or 34 per cent more.

It was revealed that men paid 33.40 pounds for electric shavers, while women paid 42.10 pounds, and men paid 5.90 pounds for hair styling products as compared to women’s 7.34 pounds.

Pricespy’s Erik Lorentz said that the price differences were “staggering and perhaps unfair” and gendered shopping habits are something that retailers seem ready and willing to exploit, with many essentially unisex products marketed to men and women differently.
