Mumbai: It seemed like a repeat of last year – same venue, same iftaar party and the two warring Khans – Shah Rukh and Salman Khan. SRK and Salman Khan hugged each other yet again at an iftaar party hosted by Baba Siddiqui at a five-star hotel in Mumbai on Sunday (July 6) evening. The two had last hugged each other at the same venue on July 21 last year.
Baba Siddiqui played a warm host, shuffling from his main door to the grand hall, accompanying all his guests one by one to the main hall where the Iftaar dinner was served. As soon as Salman Khan entered, sporting a casual look in a blue shirt and jeans, the entire hall echoed ‘bhai’ and ‘bhai saalam walekum’. Salman looked his usual self, confident and not bothered by the media. However, this time he posed happily for the shutterbugs.
Siddique’s greatest accomplishment is, without doubt, his iftaar parties. Last year, the B-town was left abuzz when Salman and Shah Rukh Khan were not only both present at Siddique’s iftaar party, but they hugged each other. It took five years and one Baba Siddique to fix things. Sure, Salman’s brother Sohail said no one should read too much into the hug because ‘Bhai’ was just being polite, fans of both stars went absolutely nuts.
Although, the two have not been seen at public events, SRK’s wife Gauri was spotted partying with Salman Khan and his family at the Diwali bash last year.
