Mumbai: One of the most beautiful women in the Bollywood industry will be soon seen making a comeback on the big screen. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who has been off screen post her pregnancy, is gearing up for her second innings in Bollywood, and will be seen in Sanjay Gupta’s suspense thriller Jazbaa opposite Irrfan Khan. Sanjay Gupta has also roped in actor John Abraham in the movie.
The actress will apparently be seen as a fierce lawyer, while Irrfan Khan will essay the role of a suspended cop, who has problems with authority and in being disciplined. John’s character is reportedly modelled on gangster Abu Salem after he was extradited from Portugal to India. Incidentally, Ash has neither worked with Irrfan nor John, and that makes the casting a lot more exciting.
However, the cast has not been confirmed as yet. Jazbaa is expected to go on the floors in the first quarter of 2015. With this film, Aishwarya will be returning to Bollywood after a good gap of four years. She was last seen in the 2010-film Guzaarish.
Earlier, action director Spiro Razatos, who has directed some of Hollywood’s top action films including Captain America and some from the Fast And Furious series, has been signed on to direct Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s action scenes. While Spiro has worked for a few Hindi films like Kaante and My Name Is Khan earlier, this is the first time he has agreed to come to India to shoot.
