New Delhi: AAP national convenor and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has distanced himself from the ongoing crisis within the party.Â
“I am deeply hurt and pained by what is going on in the party. This is betrayal of trust that Delhi posed in us,†Kejriwal tweeted on Monday morning.
In another tweet, Kejriwal said that he would rather concentrate on Delhi’s governance than get involved in infighting in AAP. “I refuse to be drawn in this ugly battle. Will concentrate only on Delhi’s governance, he tweeted.
The Delhi chief minister has said he will under no circumstances break the trust that people of Delhi have reposed in his party.Â
AAP’s national executive is scheduled to meet on Wednesday to discuss the ongoing power struggle.Â
On Monday, Kejriwal’s confidantes sharpened their attack against the trio of Shanti-Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav accusing them of hatching a conspiracy against the party chief.Â
The meeting on March 4 could end in edging out both Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav from the political affairs committee (PAC).Â
Yogendra Yadav, in a TV interview on Monday evening, stressed that Kejriwal was easily the tallest leader in AAP and there was no question of even thinking of removing him from the post of national convenor.Â
Meanwhile, Prashant Bhushan admitted that there had been a breakdown in communication between him and party convener Arvind Kejriwal.Â
