Kathua:Â Unidentified men opened fired at Rajbagh police station in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, leaving one policeman dead. According to reports the militants attacked the police station at around 6:20 am on Friday morning.
The Security Forces retaliated to the attack and an encounter is presently going on between them. According to reports, the terrorists have taken hostages inside the police station.
Meanwhile, the Jammu-Pathankot national highway has been closed due to the attack. Check posts and barriers have also been erected over security concerns. Former chief minister Omar Abdullah showed his solidarity with the security forces.
