Why the two-minute trust factor?

Date:

Gone are the days when a couple would be seen sticking around with each other for eternity. In this two-minute world, relationships are short-lived, especially when it comes to let the ‘committed’ tag dangle around their necks. One prime factor for relationships to fall apart is the lack of trust. So, then, why is this must-have dwindling?

Too much socialisation

Let’s admit that we love meets and greets. At least, most of us. When we socialise, we tend to bump into people, you know. And before we know it, our other half is already fuming!

Smart phones, smart us?

We’re a bunch of smartypants, aren’t we? It’s like we are married to our smartphones. The moment we see our other half a tad bit nervous while fiddling with his/her phone, poooof! All the trust vanishes!

Work and travel

Many of us have to travel a lot thanks to work. That’s when minds become empty,  and we construct a posh little devil’s workshop and wonder what the partner must be doing!

On the go, anytime, anywhere

With the ability to connect with anyone anywhere and anytime, naturally, suspicion meter heads towards the feverish side. Our curiosity to keep tab of our partners all the time also helps dwindle trust.

Bygones aren’t bygones always

Sometimes, one partner’s past might just pop out of nowhere, leading to a series of revelations. What is left then? Oodles and oodles of suspicion!
