New Delhi: Cortana, Microsoft Windows 10’s much awaited digital voice assistant in finally coming to India.
Software giant Microsoft announced new regions including India, Japan, Australia, and Canada where Cortana will be made available.
“Microsoft notes that an early version in English for Insiders (early testers) in India is also available which will be updated with improved voice later this month,” Microsoft stated in its official blog
Company also announced that it will make its digital voice assistant available in more languages and optimised to understand local dialects, phrases and accent.
As the feature is still being constantly tweaked based on user feedback for more regional support, it is to be noted that Cortana in India isn’t immediately available to the general users, but extended only to the early testers.
The company will soon be making it available to the general users and later this year it will be made available to Windows Insiders in Brazil and Mexico, and in French in Canada.
