Pakistan 499-4 at tea in first Test

Pakistan were 499-4 at tea on the second day of the opening Test against England in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, losing no wicket in the two sessions after resuming at 286-4.

Shoaib Malik completed his maiden double hundred and was batting on 231 while Asad Shfiq was unbeaten on 107 for his ninth Test century.

England bowlers failed to provide a single breakthrough, with James Anderson the most successful with 2-42.
