Janata Dal (United) chief Sharad Yadav on Monday hit out at Minister of State for External Affairs, General (Retd) VK Singh, for saying that the intolerance debate was fuelled by ‘imaginative minds’ being paid with a ‘lot of money’.
Yadav said, “The Government should take a note of his statement and take action against him. Every day, he makes some wrong statement and then take his words back. BJP should shut V.K. Singh’s mouth.”
Earlier, Union Minister Singh had said that the debate over intolerance was an unnecessary creation.
“This particular debate (on intolerance) is no debate. It is the unnecessary creation of very imaginative minds who are being paid with a lot of money,” Singh said. He said that the debate was deliberately generated just ahead of the Bihar assembly elections, and that it was politically motivated.
