Seven killed in separate road mishaps in AP

Vijayawada, Aug 17 (PTI) Seven persons were killed intwo separate road accidents in Visakhapatnam and Gunturdistricts of the state today, police said. Four persons travelling in a jeep, including its driver,were killed and three others injured in Paderu agency area inVisakhapatnam district when the vehicle rammed into a tree ona ghat road, they said. In all, 20 persons were travelling in the jeep when ithit the tree trying to avoid a collision with a two wheeler,police said, adding the injured have been admitted to ahospital in Paderu. In another major accident, a private bus rammed intoa stationary lorry at Piduguralla town in Guntur district thismorning killing three persons, including two elderly sisters,while nine other passengers sustained injuries and wereshifted to a hospital in Narsaraopet.
