New Delhi, Aug 18 (PTI) Prime Minister Narendra Moditonight hailed P V Sindhu’s victory in the semi-finals of RioOlympics, saying she had made India proud and wished her bestof luck for the finals. "Superb performance @PvSindhu1. You make India proud!Best of luck for the finals. #Rio2016," he tweeted. Sindhu scripted history by becoming the first Indianshuttler to reach the finals of the women’s singlescompetition at the Rio Olympics as she stunned Japan’s NozomiOkuhara in straight games to assure India of atleast a silvermedal. The two-time bronze medallist at World Championshipnotched up a sensational 21-19 21-10 victory over the AllEngland Champion from Japan in a pulsating semi-final thatlasted 49 minutes. The World No. 10 from Hyderabad will next take ontwo-time World Champion and top seed Carolina Marin of Spainin the summit clash tomorrow. PTI AKKAKK
