Goa Deputy Speaker Wagh shifted to Mumbai hospital

Panaji, Aug 18 (PTI) Goa Assembly Deputy Speaker VishnuWagh was today shifted to a Mumbai hospital from Goa MedicalCollege and Hospital (GMCH) as his condition continues to becritical. Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar told reportershere that Wagh was shifted to Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai by aspecial air ambulance at 8.05 PM today from GMCH. The Chief Minister, who was present during shifting ofthe legislator, said Wagh was accompanied by doctors from bothGMHC and the Hinduja hospital. Wagh, a journalist-turned-politician, was admitted toGMCH on August 15 after he complained of uneasiness. "The MLA was diagnosed with high blood pressure andsugar when he was brought to the hospital," GMCH Dean PradipNaik had said earlier in the day. Since then he remained on ventilator at Cardiac CareUnit of the hospital, Naik had said. Naik said the MLA was shifted to the Hinduja hospitalupon request of his family. PTI RPS NRBRGJMF
