2 more die of dengue in WB, toll rises to 22

Kolkata, Aug 22 (PTI) Two more deaths due to dengue werereported in West Bengal, taking the toll to 22. Around 300 new cases of dengue infection were reported inthe state taking the total number of persons infected by thevirus in the state to 4,523 since January, West Bengal Directorof Health Services Biswaranjan Satpathy told PTI. Among the two persons died of dengue since yesterday, oneis a 20-year-old youth from Udaynarayanpur in Howrah districtwhile the other one is a 75-year-old man from Siriri in South24 Parganas district, he said. Most cases in the state so far have been reported fromHooghly district’s Serampore and North and South 24-Parganas,and Nadia district. PTI SCH NNDIP
