From M Zulqernain Lahore, Aug 23 (PTI) Pakistan’s Punjab Province Assemblytoday adopted a resolution condemning Prime Minister NarendraModi’s remarks on Balochistan and Gilgit-Biltistan and askedthe federal government to take up the issue at internationalfora, including the UN. Tabled by Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, theunanimously adopted resolution said the House stronglycondemned Modi’s statement on Balochistan and Gilgit-Biltistanand termed it as interference in Pakistan’s affairs. "The federal government should raise this matter atinternational forums including the United Nations. The worldshould be told about the Modi government’s interference inPakistan’s affairs," the resolution said. Pakistan Peoples Party legislator Khurram Wattoo asked thechair to also request the federal government to sever tradeties with India. Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Mahmoodur Rashidalleged that Modi’s statement manifested his policy ofintolerance and interference into affairs of other states. Prime Minister Modi, in his Independence Day speech, hadsaid that he was thanked by the people of Balochistanand Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir, including Gilgit-Baltistan, forflagging their problems.
