Mizoram assembly adjourned sine die

Aizawl, Aug 31 (PTI) The two-day emergent session ofthe Mizoram state legislature was today adjourned sine die byspeaker Hiphei. The assembly today passed the Mizoram Motor VehiclesTaxation (Amendment) Bill, 2016 as introduced by stateTransport Minister John Rotluangliana which replaced theOrdinance issued by the state governor in July. Elections to the three assembly financial committees,Public Accounts Committee, Committee on Estimates andCommittee on Public Undertakings, were held after which Hipheisaid that they would soon appoint the chairmen of thecommittees. The assembly had ratified the 122nd amendment to theConstitution by adopting an official resolution moved by thestate finance minister Lalsawta yesterday. PTI HCV CRCR
