3 injured after slipping on Metro escalator

New Delhi, Sep 2 (PTI) Three people were injured afterthey slipped while getting off an escalator at Kashmere Gatemetro station today. The incident took place near gate number 1 of the KashmereGate metro station in the evening. Three people got injured,police said. "The incident happened when three people were getting offthe escalator. One of the persons lost his balance and it sohappened that because of him the other people also lost theirbalance and slipped. They sustained minor injuries," said asenior police officer. There was a little bit of commotion at the station but thepolice officers at the spot pacified the people who hadgathered at the spot, police said. A Delhi Metro spokesperson said, "A person pressed theemergency button by mistake which brought the escalator to anabrupt halt. The people who were on the escalator were notholding the handrails which is why they slipped when theescalator stopped. The three sustained minor injuries". PTISLB SBRKUN
