Refused money for alcohol, man kills 70-yr-old mother

Kota (Rajasthan), Sep 3 (PTI) A 40-year-old man allegedlybeat his 70-year-old mother to death after she refused to givehim money for buying alcohol in Baran district of Rajasthan,police said today. The incident took place at Saimera village in Shahabadarea of the district yesterday evening. The man, Murari Sahariya, returned home in an inebriatedcondition and demanded money from his mother Jankibai Sahariyato buy more alcohol. When she refused to give him money, he thrashed her witha wooden stick killing her on the spot, Shahabad policestation SHO Surayanarayan said. Murari has been booked for murder and arrested, he said. The incident took place when Murari’s wife and childrenwere away from home. A boy who was playing nearby saw the incident andreported the matter to the locals who later informed thepolice, the SHO said. PTI CORR SMN RTSMN
