Mumbai, Sep 6 (PTI) Engineering major Larsen & Toubro(L&T) today said it has supplied the country’s firstindigenously developed high integrity pressure protectionsystem (HIPPS) to Dirok Gas Field Development Project inAssam. L&T Valves, a part of L&T, has supplied the firstindigenously developed HIPPS to the Dirok project, which ispromoted by a consortium of Hindustan Oil Exploration Company(HOEC), Oil India (OIL), and Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL), astatement said. HIPPS is a safety instrumented system (SIS) designedto protect oil and gas production, refining and pipelinesystems against over-pressurisation. "HIPPS leverages the company’s expertise in systemdesign and integration.
