Not possible to implement pay panel recommendations: Mizo CM

Aizawl, Sep 9 (PTI) Mizoram Chief Minister LalThanhawla today said the state government would not be able toimplement the seventh Central Pay Commission’s recommendationsfor the its employees in near future. "The financial health of the government would notallow implementation of the Pay Commission recommendationsunless additional financial assistance is received from theCentre," Lal Thanhawla said. State finance department has been calculating thefinancial implications of implementing the pay panelrecommendations, officials said. The Federation of Mizoram Government Employees andWorkers, an umbrella organisation of the state governmentemployees associations, recently submitted a memorandum to theCentre seeking additional allocation of fund forimplementation of the seventh Pay Commission for the stategovernment employees.
