5 officials suspended in Jammu

Jammu, Sep 11 (PTI) Five officials including asuperintendent of an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) wereplaced under suspension in R S Pura in Jammu district. During a surprise visit to ITI, R S Pura yesterday,minister of state for technical education Priya Sethi foundthat superintendent of the institute Vivek Sagar was absentfrom his duties without availing proper authorisation, anofficial spokesman said. He said that the minister ordered the immediate suspensionof the officer. The minister also expressed concern over dilapidatedcondition of the institute. In another incident, the deputy commissioner, Jammu,Simrandeep Singh ordered the suspension of four revenueofficials for violating the Jammu and Kashmir employeesConduct Rules 1971. Four revenue officials (Patwaris) identified as SunnyKumar, Altaf Hussain, Manmohan Singh and Pardeep Singh had notjoined their new place of posting despite the orders beingissued by the deputy commissioner, the spokesman said. "As the conduct of these Patwaris tantamount to theviolation of Rule 3 of Jammu and Kashmir Employees ConductRules, 1971 and general public will suffer due to theirnon-joining at the respective place of postings. The DC hasplaced them under suspension with immediate effect andattached them with ADC (Admn) Jammu," an official spokesmanhere said. PTI TSS ABKUN
