Narayanasamy urges Karnataka to take steps to curb violence

Puducherry, Sep 13 (PTI) Puducherry Chief Minister VNarayanasamy today urged the Karnataka government to takeimmediate steps to curb sporadic violence in that state whichhas triggered following the Supreme Court’s directive onsharing Cauvery river water with Tamil Nadu. Talking to reporters here, he said though Karnatakawas releasing water to Tamil Nadu, the attacks on Tamils andtheir properties in that state deserves condemnation. "It is indeed a matter of serious concern that Tamilshad no protection in Karnataka," he said, adding he wouldcontact his Karnataka counterpart and request him to ensureprotection for Tamils in that state.
