Mumbai, Sep 17 (PTI) Rashmi Sharma has forayed into filmsfrom television as a producer with Amitabh Bachchan’s "Pink"and she says she has not made the film for the sake ofearning money. Rashmi has produced popular daily soaps like "SaathNibhaana Saathiya", "Sasural Simar Ka", "Swaragini" and"Shakti — Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki". She has made her debut as afilm producer with the multi-starrer project. The courtroom drama revolves the story of three girls(Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Tariang) who aremolested by a man, but are instead charged of assaulting themolester. "I strongly relate to the subject of the film and themessage it wants to give to the audiences. I want every youth,every parent to watch this film because this is a subject thatis apt for the current scenario of the society. It stands asan answers to the situations we are in," Rashmi told PTI. "I did not make this film to make money, I made thisfilm to be able to voice some things that every woman in thiscountry want to." For Rashmi, the transition from producing televisionshows to films was creative. "All the renowned names associated with the film have putin their efforts to make a good film and impact the audienceand the society." Rashmi said she is open to produce films of variousgenres provided the subject is strong as that is what attractsher, while continuing to make television shows.
