Low pressure likely to cause heavy rainfall in coastal Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Sep 21 (PTI) Formation of a low pressurearea over westcentral Bay of Bengal is likely to trigger heavyrainfall coupled with strong surface winds in some parts ofcoastal Odisha. Under the influence of upper air cyclonic circulation, alow pressure area has formed over westcentral Bay of Bengaland adjoining areas of coastal Andhra Pradesh, the MeT officesaid here. The system is likely to trigger rain or thundershower atmost places over coastal Odisha and a few places over interiorparts of the state till tomorrow. Similarly, heavy rainfall islikely to occur at one or two places over districts of coastalOdisha till tomorrow, it said. Strong surface winds with speed reaching 35 to 45 kmphwill prevail along and off south Odisha coast. Sea conditionwould be moderate to rough, the MeT office said and advisedfishermen to be cautious while venturing into sea in southOdisha coast. PTI SKN CRNSD
