Trump tells Netanyahu he’ll recognize Jerusalem as ‘undivided’ capital of Israel

The international politics is always a hot bed of great events. A new event rolled in as Republican Presidential candidate of US Donald Trump said, he would recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s “undivided” capital, if he comes to power.

Till 1995, the United States dis not recognize the complete annexation in 1980 of Jerusalem by Israel and considers it to be under negotiation with Palestinians.

Though US has accepted Israel as undivided capital, but no US president was able to authorize funding for moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

“Trump acknowledged that Jerusalem has been the eternal capital of the Jewish people for over 3000 years, and that the United States, under a Trump administration, will finally accept the long-standing congressional mandate to recognize Jerusalem as the undivided capital of the state of Israel,” his campaign said in a statement.

“Prime Minister Netanyahu discussed with Mr Trump issues relating to Israel’s security and its efforts to achieve stability and peace in the Middle East, Mr Trump recognized Israel as a vital partner of the United States in the global war against radical Islamic terrorism. They discussed at length the nuclear deal with Iran, the battle against ISIS and many other regional security concerns.” a statement said.
