Amar Chitra Katha, one of the best entertainments sources for kids comics is now going ‘clean’. The iconic series created by Anant Pai tells Indian mythological tales and folklores.
The comic will bring scientific sanitation methods of Indus Valley civilisation and “Clean Revolution” to educate students on success of Swachh Bharat Campaign.
Uncle Anant is the master storyteller who while educating children, gifts them broom and tells the importance of cleanliness. It takes examples of 2500 years old waste disposal system and Kautilya’s Arthashastra fines for open defecation.
Uncle Anant is greeted with joyous appeal of kids, “Even I want to become a part of this mission and I am glad I picked up a broom today”. The comics will be circulated in governments schools, and will be unveiled at Indosan, a sanitation summit on Friday.
