An unmanned Antares rocket carrying food, supplies, equipment and science experiments for the International space station exploded during liftoff from Virginia on Monday.
The 14-story-tall rocket was owned by Orbital ATK Inc. The rocket carried a Cygnus capsule for the Space Station, a $100 billion laboratory in orbit about 250 miles (400 km) above Earth.
