Nissan’s much-awaited supercar GT-R has finally been launched in India. Assembled with the legacy of decades, heart throbbing power and stunning appearance, the Godzilla values as much as Rs 1.99 crore.
The 2017 GT-R was officially launched at an event in Mumbai where actor John Abraham introduced the supercar to the nation. John Abraham is the first buyer of the supercar in India. Four-wheeler giant Nissan has already delivered the first unit of the GT-R to its buyers and the cars were being continuously spotted on Indian roads for last few weeks.
Popularly recognised as Godzilla, Nissan’s flagship and only sports car GT-R is popular for its individual and brawny design, unlike the normal sports cars. What comes under the hood of the Godzilla is a hand built 3.8-litre V6 twin-turbocharged engine that beats out massive 570PS of power and 637Nm of peak torque helping the car to sprint from 0-100kmph in just less than 3 seconds.

Inside the cabin, to make the GT-R more manageable and effective as a daily usable car, Nissan has reduced the number of switches from 27 to only 11. The center console hosts a big 8-inch touchscreen display to control the infotainment system. Plastic, fiber and leather stuff have been used for the dash and the seats are very high end and deliver premium feel.
At the launching event, Nissan announced that they have lined up 8 new products for India which will be launched by 2021. Among them is the much predicted X-Trail hybrid that will be launched early in 2017. The X-Trail Hybrid was also showcased at the Delhi auto expo this year along with the GT-R.
