Lionel Messi, perhaps the greatest player of all time, boarded the doomed Lamia plane just two weeks before the crash, flying from Buenos Aires to Belo Horizonte for a World Cup qualifier.
The charter plane carried 81 people, including members of an upstart Brazilian soccer team that had won national acclaim for an unexpected march to a championship match. The plane crashed in the mountains of Colombia, five days back, killing almost everyone on board.
