The first full trailer of ‘The Mummy’ is out and Tom Cruise is on the Run from the sweeping sands of the Middle East to the modern-day in London.
The reboot does something very interesting with its lead actor–superstar Tom Cruise–that very few movies will ever do.
It is a take on a classic action-adventure film that really plays up its horror aspects.The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative take in a new world of gods and monsters.
In the first full trailer, we get a glimpse of Russell Crowe as Dr. Jeckyll.
The Mummy is directed by Alex Kurtzman, who also produces alongside Chris Morgan (Fast & Furious series, Wanted) and Sean Daniel (The Mummy trilogy, The Best Man series).
Also starring Sofia Boutella, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance and Russell Crowe, Alex Kurtzman‘s The Mummy, written by Jon Spaihts and Christopher McQuarrie, is expected to open June 9, 2017.
