Woman beaten and molested in lawless UP, video goes viral

In a shocking incident which raises concerns on UP’s poor law and order situation, a woman aged in her mid-30s and her husband got badly beaten up by two assailants who allegedly groped and molested her in Manipuri district of Uttar Pradesh. The video circulating around the internet shows the assailants start hitting the women and her husband brutally when she tries to resist the molestation. The culprits used sticks and started hitting on her head leaving women drenched in blood. The incident happened in broad daylight on the busy streets of Kishani Market.

The couple’s daughter is said to be the prime witness to the incident. The couple registered a complaint and the women have threatened to shoot and kill herself if the culprits did not get caught soon.

The Police Inspector of Kishani village Lakshman Singh said to a local daily that prime accused Anand Yadav was arrested on Wednesday while the hunt for other two culprits is still on.

Kishani Village is just 20 km’s away from the hometown of ruling party Cheif Minister Akhilesh Yadav raising concerns over the situation of Law and Order in the state.
