After Bengaluru shamed, it is Delhi’s shame

Another molestation case has been registered in the Mukherjee Nagar area of New Delhi after the Bengaluru incident happened. A CCTV footage was also recorded of a mob running and attacking the policemen with stones who prevented the boys from harassing a woman on the New Year’s Eve has emerged as a similar incident in Bengaluru.

The incident took place near the Batra Cinemas, where two men tried to pull a woman riding pillion on a motorbike being driven by another man. The policemen who were present there cautioned the two men, who appeared drunk, against indulging in this activity. “The two men fled after the police intervention. Police tried to explain to a few youths standing there that they should celebrate New Year but not at other’s peril. They should not misbehave with women who are passing through the area.

According to the reports, the policeman who was present on the spot said “The two men fled after the police intervention. After the two men fled some students came and started pelting stones on the policemen. A case under relevant sections of the IPC for destroying public property, rioting, attacking a government servant and assault or criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty has been registered against the unknown people.
