Kalpit Veerwal from Udaipur tops the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2017 by securing full marks after the results were announced on Thursday.

Veerwal was called by the chairman of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), RK Chaturvedi, in morning to give him the news. He managed to score full 360 out of 360 marks in the exam. Kalpit Veerwal (17) topped JEE in general as well as Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
He said “I studied for 5-6 hours a day and never missed classes, which made me confident. I also used to clear all my doubts and problems from the teachers to be sure”.

“I thank my parents who took care of me and my coaching institute for this feat. I will be now concentrating on JEE Mains and I want to pursue my higher computer studies in IIT Mumbai, and I should not be distracted”. Veerwal added.
His father is a compounder at Udaipur’s Maharana Bhupal Government Hospital and his mother works as a government teacher.
