Darjeeling (West Bengal): Amid the escalating tension in Darjeeling, the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) on Thursday called for an indefinite shutdown in protest against the police raid at their office.

Leo Varadkar, an Indian-origin Irish-Minister has been elected as the country’s youngest and first openly gay Prime Minister. He was formally elected at a ceremony in Dublin after he won the Fine Gael party leadership earlier this month.

Federer not shocked with defeat against Haas in Stuttgart Open

Swiss maestro Roger Federer, who suffered a first-round exit at the Stuttgart grass-court tournament, has admitted he was ‘not shocked’ by his defeat to Tommy Haas. 39-year-old Haas defeated Federer, who was playing his first match after three months, 2-6, 7-6 (10/8), 6-4 in the opening round of the tournament on Wednesday.
