Jet Airways gifts free lifetime flight tickets to baby born mid-flight

Date:

Indian airliner Jet Airways has gifted free lifetime air tickets to a baby born aboard a flight from Saudi Arabia to India. The baby is the first child to be born on a flight operated by Jet Airways.

The baby was delivered by the crew and a fellow passenger, who is a trained nurse, without any complications. The baby was delivered at 35,000 feet after the woman went into premature labour.

Both the mother and the baby are reported to be healthy. Expectant mothers are allowed to travel on flights until they are 36 weeks pregnant and require a signed letter from a doctor which confirms the expected date of birth from the 28th week of pregnancy.
