On Thursday, Salman Khan was convicted and sentenced in the 1998 poaching case, while the co-accused in the case, including Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam, were acquitted having been given the benefit of doubt. The incident had occurred during filming for the film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ when the actors had allegedly gone on a midnight hunt.
The actor had on Thursday appealed for a bail following his conviction in the 20-year-old case.
Salman Khan was granted bail and asked to pay a Rs 50,000 bail bond after spending two nights in Jodhpur Central Jail.
