Maruti Suzuki’s Ertiga tested in Indonesia, expected in India by August

Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch its next-generation Ertiga in Indonesia at the upcoming Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS), scheduled to held from April 19 to 29 this year. The model is set to be in its final testing mode. Ertiga is expected to be launched in India by August 2018.

The model is believed to be based on the Heartect platform and is said to have features like Smartplay touchscreen infotainment system with Apple carplay and Android auto support apart from some safety features like ABS as standard.

There is no clue that how the model exactly looks though it is being seen in its trial run that the body is wider and gives more space. It will also have 16-inch new alloy wheels.

The present model of the MPV comes with 1.3 multi-jet diesel and 1.4-litre K Series petrol mills. If rumors are to be believed, the new Ertiga will have 1.5 liter, four-cylinder diesel engine. Also, the new model may not have the SHVS technology as was available in the previous models.

It is also being speculated that the new Ertiga may see a hike in prices as well, all credit to the new features.
