Mumbai- headquartered Emotix – the start-up which made the personal companion robot, Miko – has raised $2 million from investors led by IDG Ventures India and YourNest.
The funds will be used for new product development and research focussed on emotional and artificial intelligence.

Founded in 2014 by Sneh Vaswani, Prashant Iyengar, and Chintan Raikar, Emotix has creatd Miko robot meant for children above 5 years.
With a tag of about Rs 20,000 Miko, can hold conversation for three hours at full charge. it does not need internet for many of its features but does for answering questions
The startup had raised a seed round of funding from undisclosed investors.
