Markets end flat; Sensex stays above 35k, Nifty falls to 10,718.05

The 30-share BSE Sensex closed marginally up at 35,176.42, rising 16.06 points, while the broader Nifty 50 fell 21.30 points to end at 10,718.05.

The markets were cautious ahead of the Federal Reserve’s announcement later Wednesday. In March, the Fed had signalled that the path of future rate hikes could be “slightly steeper” over the next few years.
